Check Out: CSS takes a stab at Keane

Now that Keane has offered its interpretation of Perfect Symmetry, the English outfit can move on to bigger and better things. What can be better than perfection you ask? How about a remix of the album’s recently released single, “The Lovers Are Losing” with a touch of CSS?

Keane joins The Cribs, Bloc Party, The B-52’s, and Asobi Seksu among artists who have gotten remixed treatment from the Brazilian electro outfit. This time around, CSS’ remix of “The Lovers Are Losing”, available as b-side in the single’s digital download bundle, sees the five-piece outfit add a whole bunch of synth-friendly dance beats to Tom Chaplin’s ballad of emotionally torn words. It’s certainly a unique combo, but something most Keane, especially those who like the band’s more David Bowie influenced selection, will embrace with open arms.

In other media worth checking out, Absolute Radio recently posted a three-part video series of the Keane’s recent performance at London’s 100 Club. As for what’s next. Well thanks to an interview with 411mania.com, don’t be too surprised if it has something to do with someone on the hip-hop side of things.

VANESSA: Are there any artists in particular that you would like to collaborate with?
[Richard] HUGHES: Kanye West. We met him at the MTV Music Awards and he was very complimentary. Also, I would love to work with Dr. Dre. It’s amazing the way he makes something out of so little. 2001 is probably one of my most listened to albums.
