Aerosmith aims for album, tour in 2009
Between 2007’s world tour and its recent appearance on Guitar Hero, Aerosmith has been anything but idle over the last 18 months…even despite all the injuries. Now fully healed, the legendary Boston outfit appears ready to take things one step further with plans for what could prove to be a pretty busy 2009.
The first step of this process will reportedly be to put the finishing touches on the band’s first all-original 
material since 2001’s Just Push Play, which according to guitarist Brad Whitford in a recent interview with Billboard, is near completion:
“We’re sitting on a bunch of music we’ve already recorded for a new album…We haven’t gone back into the studio the put the final touches on it and get it done and still don’t know when we’re gonna do that. Hopefully it’ll be sooner rather than later.”
Unless Steve Tyler’s jamming with Led Zeppelin gets in the way, we’re guessing sooner rather than later will indeed be the case, especially considering Aerosmith also appears set to embark on a world tour in early 2009. In a separate interview with LiveDaily, Whitford again played spokesman and revealed that “providing the sky doesn’t fall” his main outfit will be on tour come next spring. A couple dates are already rumored, including one in Venezula in February and at Buffalo Chip’s 2009 Sturgis motorcycle rally in mid-August.
Before anything can go down, however, Whitford has a few more stops to hit as part of the all-star Experience Hendrix tour, while Tyler has to keep trying to “motivate” Jimmy Page.

i hope the new aerosmith studio album comes out soon i also hope the rock band foreigner releases new studio album in 2009 all new songs all new music the fans deserve a album of new music they have been unfairly treated by foreigner and the record labels for way too long i also hope asia architect of time is released in 2009 thanks jon macvean
