Lamb of God to release its “Wrath”
One would think if you’re going to spend time on the road with Metallica in the coming weeks, you wouldn’t have much to complain about. I mean, what could possibly be better than watching the metal legends shred on “The Day That Never Comes” night after night? Well, at least when it comes to their forthcoming album, tour openers Lamb of God are in a state of “Wrath”. After all, that’s the name which will appear on the Richmond quintet’s new studio album when it is release on February 24th via Epic Records.
Produced by Josh Wilbur, the follow up to 2006’s Sacrament is described as extra heavy, but still a bit different than some of the group’s more recent releases:
“This album is going to surprise a lot of people. Typically bands that get to where we are in our career begin to slack off, smell the roses and regurgitate. We chose a different path. No one wants to hear another band member hyping a new record. Wrath needs no hype. We have topped ourselves and on February 24th you will feel it.”
- Chris Adler
Following its support stints for Metallica, Lamb of God will embark on its own world tour begining in early 2009 in support of Wrath.
