The Prodigy names next album, announces U.K. tour

Though rumors have been afloat for weeks now, The Prodigy finally made it official today, confirming its plans to release a brand new studio album in early 2009. In an interview with Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1 earlier today, the English outfit revealed that the long-awaited follow up to 2004’s Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned will be titled Invaders Must Die and is set for release on March 2nd via the band’s personal imprint, Take Me To The Hospital, through Cooking Vinyl. The album, which will be the electro legend’s fifth studio endeavor overall, will feature vocal talents from Liam Howlett, Keith Flint and Maxim, the first time all three members will be have a presence since the release of Fat Of The Land in 1997

In support of the release, The Prodigy will embark on a worldwide tour begining in April with the first leg taking the group across the U.K. What this means for the band’s rumored appearance at Coachella however, remains to be seen…
