Heathen Crusade livens up in Minnesota
Halloween may have come and gone, but the fall is here to stay for quite some time. Adding to the fall classics that will take the rest of this year by storm is the third annual pagan heavy metal festival Heathen Crusade, in St. Paul, Minnesota. The event itself will be a two day festival from Nov
ember 14th through the 15th that will feature many European heavyweights as well as attempt to bring the spirit of Europe onto American soil:
Heathen Crusade is a truly American festival with a distinctly European twist, the merry men behind the madness try – and succeed – to create an inclusive environment where fans of these small but fiercely-beloved subgenres can gather to watch, headbang, and drink with their favorite bands. For all the metalheads who can’t afford the journey overseas for the European festival season, Heathen Crusade brings an eclectic mix of bands from all over the world right to your doorstep (or at least, to Minnesota).
Headlining the festival is Finnish metallers Moonsorrow as well as it being their only U.S. date. The rest of the scheduled bands are as follows:
Ancient Rites, Woods of Ypres, Inquisition, Metsatöll, Thrudvangar, Wolven Ancestry, Chaos Moon, Moribund Oblivion, Oakhelm, Velnias, Ulveheim, Under Eden, Lunarium, NECHOCHWEN, Grand Demise of Civilization
Two day passes are currently available via ticketmaster.com.
