Stagecoach unveils 2009 lineup

See what I’m talking about? It’s only November 6th and we already have our first major festival announcement for 2009.

Though more than six months away, the Stagecoach Music Festival announced its 2009 initial lineup earlier this morning. Scheduled to take place between April 25 and 26 at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California, the country-heavy festival will be headed this year by Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, singer turned television star Reba McEntire, and Kid Rock, while the Charlie Daniels Band, Reverend Horton Heat, and Poco, a group featuring members of Buffalo Springsteen are among the other 27 acts currently set to descend in California at the end of August. The complete lineup and poster can be found below.

As alluded to by the dates, Stagecoach will indeed reverse back to the format of previous editions and be a two-day event in 2009. Last year, due to the addition of The Eagles, festival founder/producer Paul Tollett and GoldenVoice decided to add an extra day.

“[2009]’s going to be kind of similar, just over the two days,” [Tollett] said…

“It’s a two-day festival,” Tollett said. “Last year The Eagles popped up, so that was just an anomaly. California’s coolest band pops up and you grab it.”

Two-day passes ($99) will be available via the festival’s official website begining November 14th at 10 a.m. PT. Single day tickets and VIP passes will also be available.

Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, Kid Rock, Little Big Town, Miranda Lambert, Poco (Rich Furay, Jim Messina, Rusty Young, Paul Cotton), Charlie Daniels Band, Darius Rucker, Earl Scruggs, Chris Cagle, Lady Antebellum, Reverend Horton Heat, Jerry Jeff Walker, Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, Lynn Anderson, Doyle Lawson, Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band, Danielle Peck, Dale Watson, Zac Brown Band, The Duhks, Waddie Mitchell, Randy Houser, Hot Club of Cowtown, James Intveld
