Lupe’s new retirement plan
No one can deny that Lupe Fiasco is a busy man. With a handful of festival appearances over the summer, an opening slot for Kanye West’s uber successful Glow in the Dark Tour, and his own globe trotting excursions, it wouldn’t be a surprise that the Chicago native was always pressed for time. However, the Grammy-winning rapper’s just adding more to his plate.
Recently, at his Halloween hometown show, Fiasco announced the details of a sprawling three-disc set that will essentially be his third studio effort, the follow up to 2007’s critically acclaimed, The Cool. If you thought that disc was hot, then you’re going to take off your jacket when you hear about what he’s cooking up now.
Set to be his last album, lupE.N.D. will be the finale of, well, a short lived career. Fiasco insists this is his last endeavor (oh, those rappers!) and that, “”It ain’t just gonna be one album, there are going to be 3 ! It’ll be a triple CD !” And you thought double albums were over-ambitious!
The last three letters of the title stand for Everywhere, Nowhere, and Down Here, which are the individual names given to the three discs of LupE.N.D. That’s right, Lupe is planning to “retire” (seeing is believing– or rather, in this case, never seeing again is believing) with a triple-CD release.
Don’t fret too much. Fiasco will also be releasing a live album, with a corresponding DVD, which was recorded at coincidentally the same Halloween show that he announced all this “mess.” Err, not “mess”… retirement!
With the record slated for next year, one itches with jealousy as the rapper will retire at the tender age of 27. Fortunately, he won’t be joining that other 27 club.

I think he’s gonna be done after LupE.N.D because most rappers “retire” before their act gets old however, Lupe is retiring because of his religion.
