Faces confirm reunion plans
Legendary British rock outfit Faces is reportedly ready to start making fans smile again. After first hinting at a possible reunion back in June, the Rod Stewart led super group will reportedly begin rehearsing next week with plans of a 2009 worldwide tour in their sights.
This Monday, Rod is meeting up with Ronnie Wood and the others in the studio for their first rehearsal. “Just to check if they can remember the songs”.
While little is still known, all remaining original members of Faces are said to be in good health and up for a reunion, including Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, who was originally hesitant over the idea due to commitments with his main outfit. “Ronnie is up to it. He is full of energy and very excited,” explained Stewart in a separate interview with the Mirror.
Faces last appeared together live in 1986 as part of a surprise performance during the encore of Stewart’s concert at Wembley Stadium. After the release of a four-disc box set entitled Five Guys Walk into a Bar… in 2004, there was much speculation that a reunion was imminent, but ultimately, never transpired.
