KISS hints at new album?
Even if the band only has two of its original members left, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, the monsters in make up, aka KISS, are still thinking about penning a new album. And no, this won’t be another re-recording of previous hits, like they released this year with Jigoku-Retsuden. This is going to be a straight up rock album, filled with new material, something the band hasn’t done since 1998’s Psycho Circus.
This comes as a surprise, considering that Stanley and Simmons, who continued on even after Ace Frehley and Peter Criss knew it was time to wash the make up off, have been hesitant to new material as of late. Back in June, Stanley was quoted as saying, “We have no plans to record. The reason we don’t r
ecord is because any classic band that hits the road, the last thing you really wanna hear is their new songs.” However, photographer Ross Halfin has news that says otherwise. Per Music Radar:
Halfin, who writes in his blog: “I had breakfast with Paul Stanley,The Love Gun. Paul told me they may make a Kiss record, which he’ll produce. A real ’70s Kiss-style record. If Paul can stop painting which is his other career.”
If this does ring true, a ’70’s throwback record would be pure bliss. After all, that’s when the band was in its stride, creating actual “good” music as opposed to the “heavy” and “hardcore” nonsense that was in their last release.
If all else fails, however, we can always hold onto the prospects of another Paul Stanley solo record. Good Lord!

kiss has been in my life forever and let me say they should keep on going and do another reuninon tour…..but if not ok ive seen them twice with poison and aerosmith and they rock’d
I forgot to add that when I saw KISS on the hot in the shade tour, that Eric C. was with them.

I have been a KISS fan since I was a little kid. And to give a little history I was lucky enough to see them live on the Dynasty tour, The reunion and farewell tours with Ace and Peter. And I even saw them when they had Bruce K. and Eric S. back on the Hot in the shade and Revenge tour as well. But I think KISS lost most of my respect when they allowed Eric and Tommy to put on Ace and Peter’s TRADEMARK makeup! Now if they decided to take the makeup back off after Ace and Peter left the 2nd time, I could have respected that. Also I have been playing guitar for almost 30 years and I will say one thing, I think Tommy Thayer is not a very good guitarist and is very sloppy and he could never be as good as Ace Eric on the other hand is a great drummer and is a good fit in KISS but I think they should have taken the makeup back off out of respect for Ace and Peter. But It seems that Gene $immon$ and Paul $tanley are only in it for the cash even though on just about every interview, they say that they continue to tour so they can give the “FANS” what they want! But if they truly wanted to give the fans what they want, Bring Ace and Peter back and then release a new 70’s throwback album!!!!!

i cant wait intile kiss comes out with there new albem but ace and peter did have there chanse peter did not wont to leave home so he quit ace was a drugy and you no how much gene hate thos people so am happy for erik and tommy
For all of you people who say Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer dont fit in KISS your idiots. Yeah I would like Ace and Peter back, but not now because if they do come back there’s gonna be problems with the band and that wont be cool besides Tommy and Eric are good mucisians. Im glad KISS is coming with a new album.
I have been a die hard KISS fan since 74, I hated to see Peter and Ace leave when they did. It was also hard to see them leave a secound time. If they do a new one, it needs to be Gene,Ace,Peter & Paul, not Tommy and Eric. I could even have accepted Eric Carr, to me the last true member, but not the other two.
Since Tommy and Eric put on makeup that really dose not belong to them, Kiss has become more of a tribute band then Kiss. It is like seeing the Kiss-alikes not the real Kiss.
Also, if they would put out a new one, and use Peter and Ace, they need to all be in the same studio and all play on each track, not like last the one.
Eric needs to stay with Alica Cooper and Tommy with Black and Blue, which I saw in the early 80’s and was not good.
If they put one out with Tommy and Eric, they just lost a life long fan for good.
But hey, they are just in it for the money now, not the fans. If so, Peter and Ace would still be there…Kev
Live to Win was certainly better than Asshole. I guess that’s not saying much…
This is a rock n roll party, not a rumble! Don’t ya’ll like vodka and orange juice?!!!
