Oh Kanye! What would we do without you? (Part II)

Welcome to Kanye West Tonight!

Topping our headlines this evening, Mr. West was arrested earlier today in Gateshead, England after allegedly “getting into a tussle” with a paparazzi at a British nightclub last night. As always the case when our favorite celebrities/musicians/social outcasts get into trouble, TMZ is on the case. This is Mr. West’s second arrest in this calender year.

In other news, we are just 10 days away from the release of Mr. West’s fourth full-length studio album, 808s and Heartbreak. After being pushed up one day in “an attempt to capitalize on the Thanksgiving shopping weekend,” the album is now scheduled for release on November 24th - just one day after Guns N’ Roses long-awaited Chinese Democracy will be unveiled. Axl Rose could not be reached for comment.

Speaking of 808s and Heartbreak, the album’s previously leaked tracklist has been officially confirmed via an order page now appearing on Mr. West’s online store. As expected, the effort will feature 11 tracks, all but one of which have previously been leaked either intentionally by Mr. West or his super technologically savy fanbase.

Discussing the new album in a recent interview with HipHopDX.com, Mr. West described his belief that it may be a bit understood:

“My job is to give y’all shit that have the model bitches runnin’ around going crazy—shit that has niggas bobbing their head crazy like ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothin’.’

Thee whole album is shit that 50 would rap over, but I’m trying to put them Phil Collins melodies when I rap to them. Even if I’m harmonizing, it’s still from a nigga perspective. I’m not making no ‘Girl You Know,’ this is the perfect melody…Nah, this is none of that. This is still 100 percent, rap perspective music with melody.”

Mr. West also commented on rumors that he is already working on his fifth studio album.”It’s rumors of another album coming soon. I’m not gonna put that pressure on myself. I’m probably coming with another tour in June though. But, that’s where I’m at with my life right now,” explained the Chicago born rapper.

To end our broadcast tonight, we leave you with a transcript of recent comments by Mr West. in which he described himself as the “voice of a generation,” comparable to a number of this century’s legends:

“I realize that my place and position in history is that I will go down as the voice of this generation, of this decade, I will be the loudest voice,” he said in an interview on Wednesday. “It’s me settling into that position of just really accepting that it’s one thing to say you want to do it and it’s another thing to really end up being like Michael Jordan.”

Until next time, this has been Kanye West Tonight!
