Beach House releases video, hops on tour
Even if its remarkable sophomoric effort, Devotion, was released earlier this year, we still haven’t forgotten about the lovely dreamy sounds of Baltimore, Maryland’s Beach House. The visionary duo of Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand have had quite the year, with theirown personal and intimate tour and the aforementioned album hitting up critic’s lists. Still, it’s been some time since we heard from them. Hell, we were kind of getting worried.
However, things are perking up for Scally and Legrand. They just issued a limited edition single for “Used to 
Be” and they’re hopping on tour with another incredible indie act, The Walkmen. The single features a b-side rough demo of “Apple Orchard”, which was recorded on a four-track over three years ago. It’s kind of a cool then and now sort of package, so keep your eyes peeled for it in your favorite record store. As for the tour, the dates aren’t aplenty, but they sure take the two places.
And if that wasn’t enough, the band managed to squeeze out a video for “Used to Be.” Directed by Matt Amato, the video sees the two songwriters on the road, in a very surreal, ’50s like scenery. It’s pretty and if I hadn’t told you Amato was behind the lense, you might have thought Steven Soderberg directed it. You can check that below.
