GNR rumored to perform at the AMAs tonight
Well it’s November 23rd, which means Chinese Democracy is officially out after a decade of speculation and waiting. The verdict? It’s nothing short of awesome! With the release of the long awaited, bootlegged and coveted GN’R album, certain questions come to mind right off the bat: Will Chinese Democracy slow down oil prices? Will Chinese Democracy stop global terrorism? Will Axl Rose run for President? Will Velvet Revolver come to an end? How many times will the oxymoronic phrase Chinese Democracy be uttered this year? Will Dr. Pepper recover from such an epic fail?? Either way, Axl Rose’s dream has come true for his vision of the album and needless to say, it’s living up to the hype.
Hell, it’s even banned in China!
Though, not to be outdone however, Blabbermouth reports that Axl and his gang are preparing to perform on tonight’s rendition of the American Music Awards:
“Axl [Rose] wants to be the conquering hero,” says one “well-placed music industry source” who has worked closely with some of the biggest acts in the world including GUNS N’ ROSES. “The timing of the show on the night he brings out his masterpiece ['Chinese Democracy'] is too good for him to pass up. He knows it’s a good way to get in front of old and new fans in one swoop.”
We’ll have to see, but it won’t be that long of a wait. After all, an hour or so is nothing compared to the 14 years or so most fans have waited. Anyhow, The American Music Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and it starts at 8pm eastern time/7 pm central. Don’t miss this historical event, really.
Chinese Democracy is currently available at all Best Buys and iTunes, where it’s currently the #1 album. What a day, huh?
