On this fun little music medium better known as Consequence of Sound, we don’t like taking days off, no matter how hard we try. Just in case you were stuck in traffic or felt the tryptophan, here’s a recap of all last week’s fun…
- Russell offered up his latest “Court of the Ginger King,” this time examining the lack of Thanksgiving related music.
- Denslow went bonkers over Kanye’s 808s & Heartbreak, while Mike dissected the disaster that is The Killer’s Day & Age.
- David took in Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s 10th Anniversary concert.
- A Blur reunion? A Slipknot tour? A Jesus Lizard return? A Shane MacGowan-heavy St. Patrick’s Day? But where are the albums?
- Festival fun! SXSW offered its first nine acts, ATP New York whispered some too, while Bamboozle went all out and announced its initial lineup.
- Listen: Captains of Citadel, Jem, and Jared Mees and the Grown Children.
- Also review: Ludacris’ Theater of Mind, Squarepusher’s Just a Souvenir, Nickelback’s Dark Horse, Third Eye Blind’s Red Eye EP, and School of Seven Bell’s Alpinism.
