Tomorrow Never Knows ‘09 unveils initial lineup

Tomorrow Never Knows ‘09 unveils initial lineup

In January, our fine friends at Schubas Tavern will once again put on the mid-winter pop festival better known as Tomorrow Never Knows. Scheduled to go down between January 14 and 18 in lovely Chicago, Illinois, the fifth edition of the festival should help warm up Windy City hipsters and lucky out-of-towners with a collection of artists and band that would satisfy even the most picky of fans. Add in the fact that Consequence of Sound has partnered up to sponsor the event and will be live and on site with a few extra surprises, and Tomorrow Never Knows 2009 is quickly becoming the music event of the winter.

TNK recently unveiled its initial five-day lineup and it goes something like this:

Day One (January 14, 2009): Bear Hands, Lost in the Trees, Special Guests and DJs

Day Two (January 15, 2009): Department of Eagles, Disappears, Alla, The Poison Arrows, Special Guests and DJs

Day Three (January 16, 2009): Cursive, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Colourmusic, Special Guests and DJs

Day Four (January 17, 2009): Thunderheist, The Wonderful World of Bald Eagle, Pretty Good Dance Moves, Special Guests and DJs

Day Five (January 18, 2009):Bishop Allen, The Donkeys, Tulsa, Vacations, Special Guests and DJs

Awesome, right?

Single day tickets ($15.00) and five-day passes ($55.00) are now available via Schubas.com. Additional artists will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

  1. I don’t generally consider myself picky at all but nothing about that lineup interests me. Maybe I am getting old.

  2. Underwhelming and old news. Line-up was announced weeks ago.

  3. Then you’ve never seen Bear Hands live… ;)
