Morrissey finally ready to unveil Year of Refusal, tour too
It feels like we’ve been talking about Morrissey’s new studio album, Year of Refusal, for almost six months now. Oh that’s right, because we have. First unveiled in mid-May, the Enligsh native originally planned to release what will be his ninth full-length effort in September, but because of some inner working within the music industry - Universal Records chose to push back the release date - we’ll now have to wait until February 16th before Morrissey hits us with his newest collection of pop glory.
Of course, February isn’t that far away, and the former Smiths frontman recently began to share more specifics concerning Year of Refusal, including its pro-baby album cover and 
lead single, “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris”, which is scheduled to hit shelves one week prior to the album’s release on February 8th. What’s more, Morrissey is also now talking a tour and has since unveiled the first three dates of a U.K trek planned for the early spring, highlighted by a special birthday show (Morrissey turns 50!) on May 22nd in Manchester.
Guess all this doesn’t bode to well for the still lingering hopes of a Smiths reunion in ‘09, eh? Oh well, we always have Creed to look forward to…
