Flogging Molly gets in on the St. Patty’s Day fun

The Pogues and Dropkick Murphys won’t be the only Irish inspired musical outfits to celebrate the upcoming St. Patrick’s Day holiday with a North American tour. Beginning in February, Flogging Molly will embark on the fifth annual Green 17 Tour, a twenty-plus date trek that will take the California based outfit across the country in the day leading up to the March holiday. The tour will be highlighted by appearances at both the Langerado Music Festival in Miami and Shamrock Festival in Washington, D.C.

In addition to the celebrating St. Patty’s Day, Flogging Molly will use the dates to support its recently released studio album, Float, and more specifically, the album’s new single, “Lightning Storm”.

Following the spring tour, the band is expected to headline this year’s Warped Tour over the summer.

Tickets for most dates will go on sale beginning Thursday, December 11th via ticketmaster.com.
