Morrissey adds more dates, offers tracklist

When not dashing the hopes of perspective Langerado attendees, Morrissey has slowly but surely put together quite the itinerary for 2009. We all know about the pro-childhood Year of Refusal, scheduled to hit record stores on February 16th, and the 50th Birthday show. But in the last couple days, the former frontman turned singer/songwriter has dropped a few more items of note.

For one, we now have the official tracklisting of Year of Refusal, courtesy of Morrissey-Solo.com. On first look, many of the album’s 13 tracks seem to convey as much emotion in the title as they do in the songs themselves, at least the ones we’ve heard live. That being said, according to Matin Söderström, who got an early preview of the album, the aforementioned attributes don’t necessarily translate into quality.

But you can hear for yourself - both live and in person - soon enough. You see, in support of the upcoming release, Morrissey has unveiled a slew of U.K. dates both prior to and following his huge Birthday gig in Manchester in late May. A few U.S. dates have started to trickle in as well, though a full trek has yet to be officially unveiled. Maybe he’s waiting for Johnny Marr?

I kid…
