Never ones to go half-ass, The Airborne Toxic Event will continue its busy ways well into the new year. Pardon my French, but there probably isn’t a better way to describe the Los Angeles based outfit. In just the last five months alone, Mikel Jollett and Co. have released their self-titled debut, hung with Franz Ferdinand, and took part in the NME backed 30 Shows in 30 Days.

Showing no signs of slowing down, The Airborne Toxic Event has unveiled a slew of dates for the first quarter of 2009, which will take the group across both the U.K. and U.S. for plenty of post-punk, anti-Pitchfork fun. The dates run to late March and will be highlighted by an appearance on Letterman (January 13th) and a likely appearance at next year’s South by Southwest – thought the latter is just a guess based the lack of plans during the SXSW week (March 18-22). Nothing has been officially confirmed.
