Update: Arcade Fire documentary is a go

Update: Arcade Fire documentary is a go

At the time of our post yesterday, it certainly looked like Win Butler and Arcade Fire were certainly well on its way to becoming the latest musicial outfit to dabble in the world of filmmaking. I mean between the video collage of live concert footage, the details floating around Us Kids Know, and the fact that the title laid over said video meant “Black Mirror” in French, what else could the Canadian outfit be planning other than some sort of documentary documenting 2007’s Neon Bible?

Turns out, nothing.

According to the fine folks at Us Kids Know, Miroir Noir is in fact a 70-minute documentary on the making of the band’s sophomore effort and will feature footage from AF’s subsequent touring in support of the release. The DVD will be released in both digital and “deluxe” formats beginning Monday, December 15th via miroir-noir.com.

In other words, get your credit cards ready! I sense there are going to be a lot of copies of Miror Noir under the Christmas tree this year…
