Noise Pop offers more names, tickets

Thought you’d have to wait until March before you could experience a jam-packed slate of live music from your favorite artists? Think again.

Come February, you’ll have a wonderful selection of bands to choose from once the latest edition of Noise Pop comes roaring into San Francisco, California on February 24th. After unveiling its first set of confirmed acts earlier this month, the week-long festival has returned for some more fun. Stephen Malkmus, St. Vincent, Martha Wainwright, Ra Ra Riot, and Josh Ritter highlight the newest set of names currently scheduled to stop by the Gold Gate City festival at the end of February. So where’s that leave us?

A.C. Newman, Antony and the Johnsons, The Broken West, Clues, Dear and the Headlights, Dent May & His Magnificent Ukulele, French Kicks, Goblin Cock (feat. Rob Crow), Josh Ritter, Martha Wainwright, The Morning Benders, No Age, Ra Ra Riot, Scissors For Lefty, St. Vincent, Stephen Malkmus, The Submarines, White Circle Crime Club

At this point, the rest is just gravy…

Seriously though, add in the fact that Noise Pop is currently in full-fledged pre-sale mode and is now offering 10% off festival badges, now’s probably a good time to start finalizing your February plans.

In addition to dozens of live music events, Noise Pop 2009 will also include a film festival, gallery art openings, and “Industry Noise” (co-produced with Bandwidth Conference) a single day music industry conference featuring educational panels. Also returning for the fourth year is “Pop ‘n’ Shop” – Noise Pop’s take on the local indie designer trunk sale and rock poster show.
