Simian Mobile Disco offers Spring plans
When not producing for The Last Shadow Puppets, playing insanely awesome Halloween shows, or getting remixed, the duo of James Ford and James Anthony Shaw, better known to you as Simian Mobile Disco, continue to spend their time galvanizing audiences with their dance-friendly electro tunes. As of now, the English duo is directing most of their attention in the live setting and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future thanks to a slew of new tour dates that will take the James(es) to the U.S. beginning in mid-March. After a series of DJ sets, including a triple-header on New Years, Simian Mobile will head on over to North America for a month-long trek, highlighted by an appearance at the 11th annual Ultra Music Festival in Miami.
Of course, we’d be remiss not to mention the fact that by the time SMD hit the U.S., the duo should be in full support mode for their guest-heavy, currently untitled new studio album. While a title and release date for 2007’s Attack Decay Sustain Release are still forthcoming, we do know the band is indeed at work on the effort, and has even tapped the likes of Super Furry Animals’ Gruff Rhys and Beth Ditto for some guest work.
