Kanye dabbles in fashion, stops by SNL
I’m not sure what’s bigger news in the world of Kanye West these days: the fact that the Chicago based rapper is considering leaving his insanely successful music career so that he can be a full-fledged fashion designer or that he served as musical guest on last weekend’s Saturday Night Live?
Of course, both have there positives. Say the fashion thing works out and West gets accepted to train with Louis Vuitton. Well then, we’ll all be able to dress like Kanye soon enough. As for the SNL thing? Well, the late night program always seems to bring the best out of the hip-hop star.
Then, there are the negatives. Kanye West the fashion designer would likely be a break from Kanye West the
multi-platinum rapper turned auto tune freak, and considering the results of his most recent effort, 808s & Heartbreak, I’m not sure anyone really wants that. Again, as for the SNL thing, well, let’s just say that the aforementioned auto tone doesn’t translate all too well on live television. I mean anytime there are moments of awkward silence during a live musical performance, as was the case when Kanye chose not to go all high pitch on “Love Lockdown”, you know you’re watching a train wreck in the making…
The winner? I’ll let you decide for yourself, but considering the fact I sincerely doubt Mr. West will forgoe millions so that he can design sun glasses, I’m going to go with the latter…

Hi! I noticed that my website isn’t appearing well just in case you want to read what I think about fashion being a fashion buff that I also am. Cheers!
This is what i’m looking for! Great to find it in your site more power to you!
as much as i like Kanye the rapper, he’s a horrible singer. there weren’t 2 notes in row that were on key in that “Love Lockdown” performance.
It’s too bad he didn’t perform Paranoid. His last visit to SNL was one of the all-time best performances I’ve ever seen on the show (and there’s been a lot of great ones). And I’m not even the biggest Kanye fan. This one wasn’t bad, but he certainly didn’t come close to topping the last.

[...] Kanye West everyone! Just because we haven’t posted about the Chicago native since the SNL debacle, doesn’t mean we still don’t dig 808s & Heartbreak or love Kanye any less. Just [...]
