The new year is getting very busy, very quickly. In other words, you better get those calenders ready, start stocking up on caffeine, and be ready to exuberate an unbelievable amount of positive energy. Fortunately, the five-piece Brooklyn outfit who knows a thing or two about the latter – after all, just take a look at their recently released album – will be ready to help you out come springtime.

Following a one-off charity event in Chicago in January and a quick stop in Australia, The Hold Steady will embark on a three-week tour in support of Stay Positive in late March. The trek kicks off in Albany on March 31st and will take Craig Finn and Co. across the mid-west before ending in Sacramento on April 15th. Though considering the lack of a L.A. date and the convenient fact that the band will be in California just days before the weekend of April 17, it looks like a safe bet to assume The Hold Steady will be hitting up Coachella ‘09 as well. The War on Drugs will serve as support for all stops.
