Battlefields prepare for debut release and U.S. tour
Our neighbors up north sure seem to know how to craft music in just about any light under the sun and make it sound awesome. This is the case with North Dakota’s very own doom metal band Battlefields. The heavier than air quintet are currently set on releasing their debut album on Translation Loss Records, the downtempo and heavy handed Thresholds Of Imbalance. The album will see a March release next year, but that doesn’t stop for the band right there, not by a long shot.
Currently the band is gigging around a few gigs here in the Midwest (and performing at KUMA’s DOOM FEST here in Chicago) before embarking on a major US tour in the spring with their labelmates, Boston’s own Irepress. If you’re looking for a new heavy dose of thunder to the forehead, definitely grab a slice of this metal militia pie right after Christmas ends, because it’s definitely worth it’s weight in just about anything.
