Hot Chip & friends ready new EP
When not collaborating with Peter Gabriel on covers of Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip has been spending the recent months with a few other high-profile friends. The English electro outfit has teamed up with Robert Wyatt and Geese for a few “mutations” of tracks from the outfit’s recently released studio outfit, Made in the Dark.
Appropriately entitled Hot Chip with Robert Wyatt and Geese, the four-track EP offers a heavy touch of both
the former Soft Machine member’s distinctive experimental touch along with a remix from the electro guro. The EP will be available beginning January 27th at select indie record shops.
Ahead of the release, Hot Chip is offering two tracks, “Made in the Dark” (feat. Robert Wyatt) and “We’re Looking For A lot Of Love” (feat. Robert Wyatt and Geese), as early Christmas presents on its official website.
Not bad for a group, who was recently nominated for a Grammy. After all, it’s not like you see Ne-Yo giving free stuff away…
