The Gaslight Anthem carves out first round of tour dates

2008 sure proved to be a busy year for The Gaslight Anthem. Between the release of their sophomore studio effort, The ‘59 Sound, and subsequent appearance on our list of the Top 100 Albums of ‘08, the covers of Johnny Cash, and appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien (see below), the four-piece New Jersey based outfit has been going full steam for the quite some time now.

And based on the part one of Gaslight’s 2009 itinerary, it certainly appears the band will be staying quite busy for a while. Beginning in February, the Brian Fallon led crew will head to Europe a month worth of tour dates before heading back to the states to do the same throughout much of March and April. And get this: according to the fellows, this is only the first round of tour dates.

An appearance at the Langerado Music Festival is among the early highlights on the upcoming trek, though based on the band’s weekend void in late April, it’s no wonder why Gaslight is being rumored to play Coachella as well. Tickets for many U.S. shows will go on sale beginning Friday, January 9th via ticketmaster.com.
