Mudvayne heads back on the road
The gentlemen of Mudvayne don’t appear to be done with their New Game quite yet. After unleashing their fourth studio album earlier this year, the Illinois rockers will head back on the road beginning next February for another round of North American tour dates.
On round two of The New Game tour, Mudvayne will hit some of the lesser traveled cities on a 12-date swing, highlighted by stops at two different cities named Springfield and lovely Fargo, North Dakota. Nonpoint and In This Moment will serve as support. Tickets for a majority of these shows are currently available via ticketmaster.com.
Of course, these new tour dates don’t leave much time for recording, but according to comments by Dave Fortman, who produced The New Game, Mudvayne does indeed plan to release another new album in the summer of 2009. As per blabbermouth.com:
The band is said to have most of the music for the second album written, but still needs vocal melodies on four songs. “We may go for even more of a metal approach on some of the songs to break it up a little bit,” Fortman told Headbanger’s Blog. “But who knows what they’ll come up with.”
