Bell X1 to tackle the runway
Between the extensive touring, late night appearances, and departure of guitarist/keyboardist of Brian Crosby, the last 12 months proved to be quite eventful for Bell X1. Now a trio, the Irish outfit will look to keep this trend going in 2009 - well, that is everything minus the departures - when Paul Noonan, David Geraghty, Dominic Philips unveil Blue Lights on the Runway, their fourth full-length studio endeavor.
Scheduled for release on March 3rd via Yep Roc Records, the followup to 2005’s Flock will feature ten tracks billed as the band’s most ambitious material to date: “Landing somewhere a ‘little bit electronic, a little bit Bacharach and a little bit New Orleans Funeral March’, Blue Lights on the Runway, is a coherent and intriguing record from start to finish.
The release will be headed by the album’s trippy first single, “How Your Heart Is Wired”, which you can get a taste of below:
