The Acorn offers holiday memories
Even with the holidays behind us, a few of the season’s surprises are just now starting to catch our attention. Take Ottawa’s very own benevolent indie rockers
The Acorn for example. As a token of the band’s holiday spirit, the Ontario based outfit recently released two brand new efforts as free downloads on its website. The first, a twelve track album called Ear Worms, consists of songs all less than thirty seconds in length, while the other is a four minute, four songĀ EPĀ called Little Elms.
What’s all this for? Frontman Rolf Klausener elaborates:
“I woke up on the morning of December 24th with the urge to drop 12, thirty-second songs inspired by the myriad of friendships and experiences I’ve been blessed with this year; it’s called Ear Worms. You’ll also find a short 4-song EP called Little Elms, written this fall.”
As Christmas is always a wonderful time of the year, what better way to relive it then by giving The Acorn’s newest material a spin and bask in some post-holiday glory!
