Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band take Dream on the road…

On the same day they celebrate the release of their new studio album, Working on a Dream, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band have finally unveiled dates for their much anticipated world tour. Following their performance at halftime of Superbowl XLIII this Sunday, The Boss and Co. will launch what is currently a four-month trek beginning the first of April in San Jose, California.

The trek includes stop across the U.S. and Europe and will include performances at both the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, The Netherlands and Festival des Vielles in Carhai, France. 1. He always puts on a great show and all of his songs get such great ratings ! He is a legend in my book…hands down!

  2. I agree totally with Alex, that Springsteen unfailingly puts on an amazing live show - but it helps to be a Broooooce fan in the first place. Hopefully the 2009 tour can be high energy to suit the times, but not primarily a pop-rock sales job for the new album. Nothing wrong with pushing your latest, but it’s always best to stick to your strongest stuff, especially if you’re play festivals with a lot of skeptics in the crowd. I know 99.9% of the crowd I was with at the last Springsteen show wouldn’t enjoy Coachella.

  3. Yeah, only Springsteen puts on a better show than 99.9% of the bands that will be playing Coachella this year. He may be old, but he still is jaw-dropping live.

  4. Someone coined the term Oldchella and it looks more and more true. Sir Paul, Morrissey, Neil Young, and now maybe Bruce?

Is Medicare one of the sponsors?

  5. Well, Bonnaroo starts the 11th of June. His last show is the 10th. I could see him flying to Tennessee for a Friday night performance (12th) and then taking a few weeks off before heading back to Europe.

  6. just doesn’t seem logical to leave the country come back for a day and then leave the country again but then again i’m not the boss

  7. I’d bet on Springsteen being at Roo. As for Coachella? Who knows, but there is “that clause”…

  8. Although I didn’t start the rumor, Springsteen was on the grounds at last years Bonnaroo according to a secuirty guard @ the Super Jam show I attended last year and then I overheard two people talking in the press area last year saying they saw him walking around. It sounded like me that he was being courted to play this year and I still think there is a good chance that he will be there.

  9. There are quite a few dates open in his tour where Bonnaroo would fall. The 10th is a Wednesday, and it is the Wednesday right before Bonnaroo.

  10. doesn’t look like that bonnaroo rumor is true
