Bat for Lashes go Two Suns with #2
With enough acclaim to fill a book and the always powerful Thom Yorke seal of approval to sport around, Natasha Khan has a resume that most people her age could only dream of. Come April 6th, the Brighton native, better known in music circles as Bat for Lashes will look to add to her already stellar career with the release of her long-awaited sophomore studio album.
Entitled Two Suns, the 11-track followup to 2005’s Fur and Gold seeks to the convey the dualities of music, which to Khan means combining computer-generated beats and complex drum rhythms with autoharps and keyboards, or what you get when you’re influenced by Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, The Cure, and Beyonncé. And while the 29-year-old did created a majority of the sounds that appear on the Dave Kosten produced effort that didn’t stop her from tapping a few high-profile guests, including Scott Walker, Yeasayer, and The Blue Dreams.
In support of Two Suns, Bat for Lashes will embark on a fairly extensive worldwide trek beginning in early April, one which will even include a quick trip to America for performances in both New York and Philadelphia.
