Less Than Jake may very well be one of the most loved musical outfits alone. They also may very well be one of the most despised. At least, that is if you go by our review of the Gainesville, Florida rockers’ latest studio album, GNV FLA, and the mixbag of rather passionate emotion it generated.

Needless to say however, this particular piece will neither prove to be as controversial, nor as interesting for those looking for another opportunity to rip apart the band. Well, I suppose you technically could, but when’s the last time a tour announcement made anyone really mad?

In support of its seventh full-length studio effort and the recently released deluxe 7-inch box set, Less Than Jake has unveiled a slew of North American tour dates that will keep the outfit on the road for quite a long time. Following a couple one-offs in Australia, Chris Demakes and Co. will kick off a month-long trek, highlighted by an appearance at the Harvest of Hope. The band will then serve as a mainstay on the 2009 edition of the Vans Warped Tour, crisscrossing the country with the likes of Bad Religion, NOFX, Flogging Molly, and a slew of other acts for the better part of two months.
