Justice and So-Me team up for some Club Coke

Being one of the largest corporations in the United States, Coca-Cola has little trouble getting its hands on anything and everything its ever wanted. That being said, it was still a bit surprising to hear of the soda company’s latest marketing ploy, in which Coke has tapped the talents of France’s hottest Christian DJ duo, Justice, and Ed Banger Records designer So-Me to promote Club Coke.

What is Club Coke, you ask? Basically, it’s the soft drink giant’s newest marketing campaign aimed specifically at the previously untapped European dance scene and its incredibly random and strange subset of Coke drinkers that love the stuff as much as their nose candy. And what better way for them to promote the stuff than by slapping Justice and So-Me on the cover? Beats me!

The 2009 Coca-Cola campaign features an entirely new bottle designed by Justice and So-Me, borrowing the animation style from Justice’s music video sensation “D.A.N.C.E.” for their commercial featured below. And we’ve also got a clip from Justice’s special DJ set at the Paris VIP club on February 11th, when Club Coke was officially unveiled to Europe’s finest dance clubs and privileged coke fiends.

Now if I only had a coke to enjoy this all with…

  1. for justice to be a christian, all they would have to have done is accept jesus christ as their lord and savior. Just as i have done. And by no means am i perfect. As a matter of a fact, I am a sinner, thats the glory of the entire thing, Jesus wants sinners, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of god. These guys are just doing what they love, and they feel led to spread the word through letting others know they are christians! More power to them! I LOVE JUSTICE!

  2. Always research my friends, do research. By the way Christianity is not a religion but a Faith.

*On their MySpace page in late 2005, Justice described themselves as “electro-Christian-club” and used a crucifix as a logo. de Rosnay said, “Eighty percent of France is Christian. My Dad was a bit uncertain and thought it was bad taste, but I was like, ‘This is what I want to do Dad.’ It’s odd because in America we have received support from Christian groups thanking us for spreading the word. We do not invert the cross and I suppose they think we look like nice guys so there has not been a problem.” In an interview for Dummy in 2005, Justice said that they wanted a strong concept for each record they put out and with this one they wanted to keep people guessing.[16]

  3. You guys are funny. I don’t think that it takes anything to be considered Christian besides saying “I’m Christian”, which Justice most certainly does. If I had a dollar for every Christian who did something that other Christians think is not Christian, I would have all the money in the world.

  4. they are by no means “christian”. they were influenced by many heavy rock/metal bands. how is that christian? i believe if anything they are advertising anti-religion

  5. if being christian means getting wasted every night, doin all kinds of drugs, and bangin groupies then label me a christian

  6. *comment for the above
zatz - I misread what you wrote I think. I guess your saying the band members are Christians, but this music isn’t? Still, the lifestyle doesn’t seem to be Christian. That’s what pisses me off. Claiming your Christian, but not following through. And I generally like Justice besides this, even made a trip from STL to see them in Chicago last march.

  7. Zatz - your comment doesn’t really make sense. “they say’s its non religious and they’re all about christianity?” kind of contradictory. I guess they’re self-labeled as Christian which is contradicted for their samples + life style. For some reason this just really pisses me off.

  8. While they do say it is non religious, Justice is all about the Christianity. Kind of common knowledge by now I assumed.

  9. How can you say Justice is a Christian group? I know there myspace says this under genre, but isn’t that a joke? It’s not like there samples have lyrics about Christianity. If anything, there music is about partying and sex. I’m not Christian or anything, but it seems ridiculous to label them as such.
