U2 playing a secret show…at Fordham University!
We owe Fordham University an apology. Vanderbilt University ain’t the only ones offering a music event for the ages these days. As first reported by the Hartford Curant, U2 is set to descend on Fordham next Friday (March 6th) for a “secret show.”
According to Eric Danton, who penned the story, Bono and company will followup the release of their new studio album, No Line on the Horizon, and five night stint on The Late Show with David Letterman next week with a performance at Fordham’s Rose Hill Campus in the Bronx. Administration has reportedly canceled morning classes on Friday “for security reasons.”
In an email to CoS, Eric Danton backed his story, citing sources close to the school. Fordham’s newspaper, The Paper, has also confirmed the news, noting the band will play on the steps of the university’s famous Keating Hall.
The performance will likely be packaged as part of the band’s upcoming performance on Good Morning America, which is also to take place on Friday at “yet to be announced” location. It will mark U2’s first live U.S. show this year.
Consequence of Sound will be live and on site…
