Forgive us for being a bit skeptical of Peter Bjorn & John‘s forthcoming studio album, Living Thing, but between the early reviews that the record, officially set for release on March 31st, will be the band’s most experimental work to date, complete the sounds of electro-pop, hip-hop and Afro-pop, and the its recently revealed, really creepy album cover, it’s hard to imagine tate PB&J’s first vocal-friendly album since 2006′s Writer’s Block will be anywhere as stellar as its predecessor.

That being said, if today’s debut of the video Living Things‘ first single “Nothing To Worry About”, is evidence of what is to come, maybe we shouldn’t be worrying. Once you get past whatever is going on in the video (a Japanese mohawk-wearing gang break dancing?) and give a listen to the accompany music, the selection ain’t all that bad. In fact, between the children choir’s and tribal beats, it’s a bit catchy. I’m just not sure it will be as easy to replicate in concert as some simple whistling…
