Lil Wayne offers rockin’ “Prom Queen”
It’s not that we recommend checking out Lil Wayne’s new video because it’s good. That couldn’t be further from the truth. In fact, the video for “Prom Queen”, the first single of Weezy’s upcoming rock album, Rebirth, may be the worst thing ever to be posted onto the Internet, and no, I don’t think I’m exaggerating.
It doesn’t help that the “rock ‘n’ roll” sounds serving as the musical backdrop are downright awful, or that the lyrics sound like something crafted by a foul-mouthed third grader. Neither does the appearance of Korn - what is it, 1999? - as the backing band. But ultimately, all this pales in comparison to the video’s completely atrocious three-and-a-half minutes of footage chronicling a Wayne-like figure’s development from high-school nerd to rock superstar, all while spiting the “prom queen.” 15 seconds in, I wanted to blow my brains out. God speed..

alot of people dislike what they dont understand…which makes it fine for me to enjoy something with less of a crowd around…. this is rick james on crack with a heavy backing band…
think outside the box you turds….internet critics should be strung up from lightposts and fed to the crows..
Ha! You can’t blame korn for doing something that will allow em to eat. After all this is a crisis and that was a job.
Will the killers be the backing band of some strange rapper that wants to go indie 10 years from now?
You didn’t mention the more than annoying cher effect all over the song!
best guitar solo EVAR!
i’m completely speechless. i am without speech.
lil waynes vocals dont match the music. its the biggest mistake for him to go rock. he cant do it
when i read “may be the worst thing ever to be posted onto the Internet, and no, I don’t think I’m exaggerating” i knew i had to watch it.
its the most ridiculous song, i could not stop laughing.
