Rumor alert! The Stone Roses reunite for summer jaunt?

Well, as if last years’ list of reunions couldn’t fit anymore bands, the list just got a little heavier…and better. Word this morning says English alternative rock legends The Stone Roses are reuniting for the first time since 1995, all in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their critically acclaimed debut album.
According to one of the band’s insiders via Daily Record, the British indie quartet have set up twenty-one dates in the UK with a possible date in the U.S., one that’s largely rumored to be at Coachella. After considerable persistence from the other band members towards singer Ian Brown, there seems to be some sort of agreement:
He was the sticking point throughout the proceedings, but he’s finally relented and signed on the dotted line.There’s been a lot of speculation in the past, but this is the real deal.
The rest of the band were really up for it, especially when they realized the amount of money on the table. But Ian has forged a really successful solo career and wasn’t very receptive to their plans. It’s taken a while, but he’s finally come around to the notion.

Considering what Brown spoke of last December and the Daily Record’s reputation, all this is still up for speculation and should be filed under rumor. Either way let’s shoot for the best and pray to the gods of reunions to make this a reality. Please?
