Tool preps summer tour!
Chalk up another high-profile tour coming soon to a venue near you. According to Blair McKenzie Blake, who maintains Tool’s official website, Maynard James Keenan and company will hit the road this summer for a North American tour.
Although I can’t announce any specific dates yet (as the bulk of the dates haven’t been confirmed), once they are finalized and official, we’ll be sure to announce them on the site. So… be on the lookout for these dates to be posted soon, and get ready for live Tool this summer.
The tour, which will mark Tool’s first public performances since late 2007, will likely be built around the band’s rumored headlining appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza. No word on whether additional festival appearances will be included on the tour, or what the band will be performing in support of - in February, guitarist Adam Jones told Guitar World that Tool had begun work on the followup to 2006’s 10,000 Days.
Of course, we’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.

This would be cool, always a great show when TOOL performs live. BUT…..don’t forget people, Blair and Maynard usually ALWAYS do some kind of an April Fools joke every year…lets hope this is not one of them, we will see.
I cant see Tool doing any other festival other than Lollapalooza…because it seems like this years Lollapalooza is a reunion of sorts, and it seems like Tool is probably playing Lolla because they have played it twice…third times the charm!
P.S. If they are not playing the AT&T stage then…WOW! That is bullshit!
