Sure, Santigold is the same old Santigold since changing her name to Santigold – sorry, if that was confusing. You know, the same Santigold still supporting last year’s smash success Santogold (does the name change apply to the album as well?) with a continuation of Santigold’s self-described “endless dance party”? Only this time around, it won’t just be Santigold supporting Santogold, or Santigold…

Yes, following her appearance at this weekend’s Ultra Music Festival, the Philadelphia native will launch a brand new North American swing that will not only include Trouble Andrew and Amanda Blank serving as the openers, but also a full band and dancers performing behind her. The Santigold + full band + dancers set up will run from late May to late June, and will be highlighted by a stop at The Roots Picnic in the singer/songwriter’s hometown of Philadelphia, along with an appearance at this year’s Bonnaroo.

According to Pitchfork, following her summer tour, Santigold will head into the studio to begin work on her much-anticipated sophomore LP.
