Stream: Battlefields’ Thresholds Of Imbalance

With Metallica taking supreme legacy and acceptance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, heavy metal this week has certainly made public headlines in the music world. While the glitz and glamor shines bright for this early edition of April, the underground isn’t looking too shabby either. A little while ago, we introduced you to one of North Dakota’s heaviest doom metal bands Battlefields. As it turns out, not only are the Midwestern quartet finishing up their U.S. tour with label mates Irepress, their debut album Thresholds Of Imbalance is currently streaming on the band’s MySpace page.

Need a new heavy dosage in your morning coffee? Can’t seem to shake off those train ride blues without a new jolt of thunder? Battlefields’ debut can quickly take care of that. While the band is currently wrapping up the tour, the band will partake in another summer tour starting in June (with dates to be announced shortly). With quirky guitars and a satisfying level of sonic indulgence, don’t miss out on this impressive metal-up-your-horns rollick of a good time!

Battlefields Tour Dates:
04/07 - Columbia, MO @ Mojo’s
04/08 - Iowa City, IA @ TBA
04/09 - Vermillion, SD @ Washington Art Center
04/10 - Fargo, ND @ The Aquarium

 1. Is this cd a joke? The packaging is good and it looks professional, but it sounds like a garage bands bad recordings. I thought someone switched out the cd. This cd is soooooo bad, I like the artwork, but its pretty pretencious, especially for a “doom” band. That genre is dying fast. Sorry battlefields but i think your music is really bad. sorry boys.

 2. MOST BOING THING IVE EVER BEEN FORCED TO LISTEN TO. TERRIBLE!!!!

 3. Most boring band ever. Wait, they arent a real band. They are pretencious wannabes. Get a real life guys, youll never be the rockstars you are obviously striving to be. You are all wasting your time. Dont buy this record unless you enjoy wasting money. Worst album ever, however, its good for a laugh.
