Sasquatch drops 2009 schedule

Sasquatch drops 2009 schedule

Despite the fact that Sasquatch ‘09 is a little less than two months away (May 23-25) and that the George, Washington based festival is still making lineup additions like it’s its job (the most recent being Amanda Blank), that didn’t stopped organizers from offering up this year’s schedule this afternoon.

Doves vs. Passion Pit? Ra Ra Riot vs. The Decemberists? Yeah Yeah Yeahs vs. Bon Iver? Kings of Leon vs. Crystal Castles? Ouch, and that’s only the first day.

  1. well Bon Iver is highly overrated…so……

  2. it makes up for the late lineup announcement. How does it make any sense that Boonaroo releases its lineup before sasquatch? That has never made any sense to me!

  3. yeah i agree. i also wish that other festivals wouuld announce their schedule earlier than what they normally do. that i pretty nice lineup, but like its already been stated, it does have a lot of conflicts. i wont be there though, so good luck and have fun everyone.

  4. Conflicts are bountiful this year, for me anyways…Bon Iver vs. YYYs hurts. As does, Doves vs. Passion Pit, M. Ward vs. King Khan, Animal Collective vs. Tim & Eric vs. Sun Kil Moon vs. Ra Ra Riot, Kings of Leon vs. Crystal Castles, The Walkmen vs. Japandriods, The Dodos vs. TV on the Radio vs. M83, Black Moth Super Rainbow vs. Grizzly Bear, Bishop Allen vs. Santigold, Gogol Bordello vs. Blitzen Trapper, Fleet Foxes vs. Monotonix vs. Demitri Martin, Silversun Pickups vs. Beach House.

This year’s lineup is far too good. It’s unfair.

  5. I think the schedule is okay for me. no big gaps and the only real disappointing conflict is Gogol Bordello and Blitzen Trapper

  6. Wah!

It’s not too bad, most of the bands I want to see I’ll get to… I see a couple of conflicts but not too many for me: M Ward and King Khan, ouch, YYY’s and Bon Iver, ouch, Street Sweeper and Hockey, kind of ouch… such a great lineup though, there aren’t many down times!! And Gogol and Monotonix AREN’T on at the same time! WOOHOO! (I was worried about that one…)

  7. Also, it’s not Amanda Palmer, it’s Amanda Blank. Got my hopes up that she had changed her last name cause she’s rumored for Roo.

  8. See I like this. Why can’t more festivals drop their schedule early? It gives us more time to choose!

  9. The schedule is completely fucked. I knew it would be tight but the mornings start so ridiculously slow and gradually grow into a very large clusterfuck of good acts playing all at the same time.
