Oasis hints at break!?!?

Oasis hints at break!?!?

Say it ain’t so, Noel!

In a recent interview with Q Magazine, the Oasis frontman hinted with one single sentence what all Oasis fans fear - that their precious Gallagher brothers may soon take a break, like a five years long type of break…

“By the time we make another record we’ll be five years older.”

The reason behind the possible break?

Well, for one, Noel appears set on releasing that solo album he’s been working on recently - “I’ve got a lot of songs lying around and some of them are really great,” Gallagher noted. “But they’re not Oasis songs. They’re going to sit there and do nothing, so hopefully at the end of this tour I’m going to go and do something for myself.”

Then, there’s the fact that the British native hasn’t started work on the followup to last year’s Dig Out Your Soul yet, something, which given the band’s history, isn’t such a good thing:

“Even before the end of making each Oasis album, I’ve always started writing the next one, and I haven’t this time. I don’t want to force it.”

Of course, all this doesn’t jive with comments made by Gallagher last October that the band had already completed and demoed material for the followup to Dig Out Your Soul. Then again, does anything this man does make sense?

  1. Hopefully they take a break…. like a long one… like 50 years, at least.

  2. Sounds like that time Ryan Adams was suffering from poor ticket sales so he told everyone he was done with music. Then he had to add extra shows to his itinerary.

Wait, didn’t he play a few shows with Oasis a few months back? The plot thickens!

  3. They are not taking a break…Noel says so much shit. Noel just stated a few days ago that he wouldnt be doing anything non Oasis related. We’ll have to see

  4. [...] double dear! It won’t be a 5 year break if I’ve got anything to do with it, thanks for the support.. [...]
