Siren Music Festival announces 2009 plans

Looking for a cheaper, non-Pitchfork related activity for the weekend of July 18th? Then, perhaps you’ll want to head to Brooklyn’s Coney Island, where the ninth annual Siren Music Festival will bring yet another day of free, nonstop music from a slew of international, national, and local acts. Built to Spill, Frightened Rabbit, The Raveonettes, and Monotonix head the recently unveiled initial lineup, and with more acts to come, the Village Voice presented event looks to once again be a stellar summer activity. Oh, and did I mention there will be a roller coaster?
