The White Stripes are alive and well, says Jack White

Thought the lackluster Conan send off and emergence of The Dead Weather spelled the end for The White Strpies? Think again, says Jack White in an interview with Music Radar.com. Considering that you, the reader, are probably in a state of numbness following the last sentence, let’s summarize so you still have some time to wipe that drool of your keyboard before it seeps into the mainframe and completely destroys your precious Mac Book - obviously, I’m speaking from personal experience.

  • The White Stripes are still a band.
  • Meg White has recovered from the acute anxiety that has canceled many of the band’s 2007 tour dates.
  • The White Stripes have already begun work on a new studio album. A couple songs have already been recorded at White’s new studio.
  • The new album isn’t “too far off. Maybe next year,” White says.
  • Rejoice.
