Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears spend the summer bringing the blues

If you’re a frequent reader of CoS, you’ll know there are a few bands that get us really excited, like to the point where we’re jumping for joy when they announce tour dates. Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears can be considered one of these bands; news of their upcoming North American tour with both Lucero and the New York Dolls caused us to do some hardcore jumping. In support of the recently released Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is!, Black Joe Lewis and his bluesy septet have launched a two-month North American tour which sees them serving as openers for the now MTV-approved Lucero and the recently reunited New York Dolls, along with a couple stops at some of the summer’s latter festivals.
