Counting Crows will attempt to spice up your summer of boring concerts

According to the Counting Crows every concert you’ll see this summer will be boring - aside from the ones they will put on in the coming months of course.

“We want to give fans a completely different concert experience this summer than they’ve been getting,” said Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz.”We’re turning your normal concert experience on its head. We’re going to go out on the road with a bunch of our friends and we’re all going to play shows together.”

The action begins in late June, following a couple festival appearances. After that, the California outfit will hitch with the aforementioned friends, aka Michael Franti & Spearhead and Augustana, for a two month trip around America. The whole shindig will be titled “The Saturday Night Rebel Rockers Traveling Circus & Medicine Show,” which in itself should leave memories. For anything more, you’ll have to pick up tickets via Ticketmaster.com.

  1. Saw the Crows at a free concert in Sioux City’s Grandview Park this weekend. This concert was awesome! Full of energy and very playful. Somewhat disappointed by the performance, though, in that we heard nothing like what they have recorded. This performance was like one big jam session where the band was playing all of there greatest songs, in a playfully whimsical way as to cure their own bordom with that which they have performed millions of times. Yes, I am disappointed that I didn’t hear “classic” Counting Crows, but I felt privileged to be present for something that felt much more intimate. Maybe I’ll hear more classic Crows at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach next month.

  2. Why even cover it if you’re gonna be biased?

  3. f’ing rip off…. $168 for a pair of tix to sit is insane…..
