Formerly of Verbena, A.A. Bondy has struck it out on his own, and not surprisingly, has been met with praise. Signed to Fat Possum, his latest album American Hearts was released last year. In support of this, he’s not going to tour. Just kidding, of course he’ll tour, all across this great land of ours.

Based on personal experience, this writer strongly recommends attending said tour once it gets under way next week in Massachusetts. I remember catching him opening for Cold War Kids and was intriguing by his singular yet passionate performance. No frills, bells or whistles, just him and his backing band pushing out some great folk tunes. Given the venues making up the trip, A.A. Bondy offering similar intimacy.
