Only four days of work this week, kids! Well, more like three since you’ll probably spend Tuesday in a morning-after coma from burgers, beer, and sunburn.

This week’s musical guests are a bit of a mixed bag. There are plenty of frustratingly recent reruns happening this week, but there’s still plenty of new stuff to check out. For exmaple, appearances by two, count’em, two American Idols on Jimmy Fallon.

But this week all eyes will be on Leno as he leaves his longtime Tonight Show post and passes the baton to Conan O’Brien. It’s definitely the end of an era, even if it’s an era you never cared much about. His choice of musical guests this week definitely skews even more Adult Contemporary than normal. Sarah McLachlan takes time out of making you weep with that animal rescue commercial to stop by on Wednesday, and James Taylor brings his aw-shucks charm to the final episode.
