The recently announced Austin City Limits Music Festival won’t be the only thing cooking in the Texas capital during the coming months. This year will also mark the 35th anniversary of Austin City Limits – you know the legendary television show that eventually spawned ACL the festival, and to celebrate, producers are planning one stellar lineup.

ACL ’09 performers Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Dave Matthews Band, and Ben Harper & Relentless 7, along with Elvis Costello, St. Vincent, M. Ward, Kenny Chesney, and Willie Nelson, who performed during the show’s episode back in 1975, are among those scheduled to appear on ACL TV this fall.

The 35th season will kick off on October 3rd on PBS. Exact broadcast dates and additional details are still forthcoming.
