Late Night Lobotomy (Week of 6/1)
It’s finally June and summer (for all intents and purposes) is officially here! Children are running through the streets, parents are terrified at the prospect of dealing with these hellions for three months, and Conan O’Brien is back on the air. It’s the perfect storm.
Yes, indeed, Conan takes over Leno’s role on The Tonight Show and starts things off right with Pearl Jam. In fact, the first few musical guests (Green Day, Sheryl Crow) could’ve played his show when it debuted in the ’90s.
As for the rest of the after hours shows, it’s a mixed bag. Some nights are slim pickin’s, but others are worth watching. Tori Amos brings her piano to Craig Ferguson, Elvis Costello hits up Letterman, and Paul Simon stops by Fallon.
